We were just talking about preserved cherries on the weekend - Mr QM's mum used to make it every time they got a box of cherries on the way home from Aunty Eve's (which made it all sounds very romantic and Little-house-on-the-prairie, but in reality it was probably nothing of the sort.) Cherries were only $4-$5 a kilo on the weekend at the markets, so I know what I'm going to be doing soon!
Welcome to my life - it's wonderful if not slightly crazy! I'm Bec - mamma to Izaak - an amazing autisitc eight year old who makes me laugh everyday & Charlotte - my little four year old princess. When I'm not being a mum I'm being a nurse on the gastroenterological ward at one of our local hospitals. When I'm not being a mum or a nurse I'm an avid crafter who enjoys knitting, crochet, sewing and basically any fabric based crafts. This is my journey.... if you'd like to get in touch with me I'd love to hear from you - caulfiedra AT gmail DOT com. Thanks!

Cherry jam!
I saw it on Facebook and decided to come home and cook the cherries my inlaws gave us on the weekend. I'm making Cherry Clafoutis!
Leonie - that is the stuff nightmares are made of!!
I've just taken the *cherry jam* out and bottled it. Can't wait until it's cooled down and can try some on some toast for dessert!
